These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of www.SignaSure.ca (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by SignaSure Notary Services (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”). By accessing or using this Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms at all times.

No Legal Advice or Solicitor-Client Relationship

SignaSure Notary Services provides notary and commissioner of oaths services in Ontario. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Content on this Site is for informational purposes only. Using the Site does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Please consult a licensed lawyer for legal advice.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, images, logos, downloadable files, and documents, is the property of SignaSure Notary Services and its content creators. You may not copy, distribute, or use such content without express permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use this Site lawfully and not to:

  • Violate intellectual property rights;

  • Hack accounts or interfere with Site functionality;

  • Act fraudulently or misleadingly.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access and pursue legal action for violations.

Accounts

If you create an account:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and passwords.

  • You must provide accurate, current personal information and update it as needed.

  • Accounts may be suspended or terminated for illegal use or violation of these Terms.

Sale of Services

Our Site offers the following services:

  • Notarization & Commissioning

  • Document Drafting & Authentication

  • Courier Delivery & Travel Fees

  • Video Conference Recording

Payments are due at the time of service. Service descriptions are provided “as is,” and we reserve the right to modify, cancel, or reject services. Refunds will be issued for cancelled services already paid.

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide valid government-issued ID for notarization.

  • Ensure documents are accurate and complete.

  • Do not submit fraudulent or misleading documents.

Failure to comply may result in service refusal or reporting to authorities.

Third-Party Services

We may feature third-party goods or services. We are not responsible for their accuracy, quality, or availability.

Payments

Accepted methods: Credit Card, Visa Debit, PayPal, e-Transfer, and Cash. By providing payment, you authorize charges to your chosen instrument. Transactions may be cancelled or reversed if illegal activity is suspected.

Refunds and Cancellations

  • Partial refunds (up to 50%) may be issued for errors we cause.

  • Cancellations: 1-hour notice required for full refund; otherwise, $10 fee applies.

  • No-shows: $10 fee; late arrivals: $5 fee.

  • Rescheduling: 1-hour notice required; $10 fee if notice not provided.

Messaging and Communication

By providing contact info, you consent to receive:

  • Promotional and informational messages

  • Service updates and newsletters

Unsubscribe: Text STOP for SMS or use the email unsubscribe link. HELP can be sent for support.

Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for content, policies, or practices of third-party sites linked on our Site.

Non-Disparagement

Clients agree not to make false, misleading, or disparaging statements about SignaSure Notary Services or its staff. Complaints must first be raised directly with us.

Compliance With Laws

Clients must comply with all applicable laws. Services will not be provided for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.

Electronic Transactions

You consent to electronic agreements, signatures, and communications, which have the same legal effect as physical documents.

No Guarantee of Acceptance

We notarize in accordance with laws and best practices but cannot guarantee that a third party will accept the notarized document. Clients are responsible for verifying requirements.

Website & System Downtime

We aim for uninterrupted access but are not liable for delays or interruptions due to technical issues. Appointments affected by downtime will be reasonably rescheduled.

Limitation of Liability & Indemnity

We and our affiliates are not liable for losses, damages, or legal claims arising from use of the Site or services. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless for claims arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by unforeseen events, including natural disasters, pandemics, or technical failures.

Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Ontario law. Disputes are to be resolved via mediation, then arbitration if necessary. Small claims court or injunctive relief actions are exceptions.

Severability

If any provision is invalid under applicable law, it will be removed without affecting remaining Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to comply with law or adjust Site operations. Updates will be posted on the Site and communicated by email where possible.
